Hazard tells Chelsea I am staying

Much has been said of Eden Hazard this season and not much of it has been positive. Despite speculation over his future, reports state that he has told Antonio Conte his plans for next season!

Personally, I have never known a player to divide opinion as much as he has this season after what we can all agree has been a nightmare for him personally and for Chelsea Football Club. Having won honours last season both personally and with the club, this season has been dire to say the least and as yet, he has not registered a single goal in the Premier League after taking it by storm a year ago.

It's important to remember that Hazard is still only 25 and has he best of his footballing years ahead of him. We have all seen what he can do, the technical quality that he has and the amazing ability and that's why when it comes to reports on his future, people can have a very differing opinion.

The problem we have is speculation. Chelsea would normally fill the pages of our national press at least twice a week with possible signings or players being generally linked to leaving the club. Not a week goes by without something appearing. Generally, most of what we read is pure fabrication and you can pretty much fathom what has substance but with what has happened to Chelsea this season from the first game against Swansea, the press have moved into overdrive and it has not let up.

Just this past week we have read comments from Guus Hiddink stating that Eden Hazard has suffered an alarming dip in form and that he is in a dark place which further explains the turmoil he has had to face this season.

Being honest, everything looked as though Hazard was talking his way out of Chelsea and that he had enough of the abuse he was receiving from certain sections of the Chelsea fans on more than one occasion this season. He has often talked up his admiration for Zinedine Zidane which putting two and two together equals a move to Real Madrid and recently, ahead of our games against PSG, he also talked of a potential move there which did not go down well with the fans (which is partly as to why some people have expressed their frustrations). I had also reported that he was for sale for £80m but various sources would have you believe that no one wants to pay anything near that figure.

All of this seems as though it was a total waste of time because Eden Hazard has told Antonio Conte of his intentions to stay at Chelsea and make up for the poor season he has had this year. It is an amazing turn of events based on the speculation, his wages that also need to be considered and because at times he has generally looked like he was not interested.

A Chelsea team with Eden Hazard in it is better than a Chelsea team without him and this will be a massive boost to Conte ahead of him coming here. I think we can all agree that Roman Abramovich realises that we simply cannot afford to have another season like this one and as a result, he will throw plenty of money at Conte to spend in the hope that he can construct a team that is capable of reaching the top four as he bare minimum next season.

What do you people think of Hazard and his determination to stay and prove himself next season?

Ashley Cole off Abroad

Article that has appeared on THE SUN website today.

The news everyone on the planet was expecting was announced yesterday that Cheryl Cole has decided to file for divorce from Ashley Cole after his well documented "walk on the wild side" in recent months. I think all of us would love for our boys to just concentrate on their football next season as we have had more than enough publicity for the players off-pitch exploits aswell as on it this season.

Lampard praises the Chelsea Fans

Frank Lampard Chelsea celebrates 2nd goal

Frank Lampard has taken time out to praise the Chelsea Fans in a recent interview. When asked about our fans and what makes us different to others such as United over Berbatov, he said:

"I've never heard them get right on someone's back, boo them and destroy them. Never, Don't get me wrong, they can moan and groan a little bit but that's normal. We all get upset watching games, But they are always there, they travel fantastically well and the main thing is that they don't get on anyone's back.

An Apology to Carlo Ancelotti

Football - Chelsea v Portsmouth FA Cup Final

As usual I was looking around the net and came across one of the best articles I read this season from Mark Worral on the CFCNet website. This article along with our double success has prompted me to write the following apology to "King Carlo".

If you have been a follower of my blog you will know that at different times this season, for me personally, I called to question Ancelotti as our manager.
